Government policy sets the framework, but farming is about culture as well as commerce. It's about growers who tackle the dirty logistics of soil restoration, habitat preservation and local food security. The Greenhorns [organization] feel that fixing the food system happens one farm and one farmer at a time. They reach out to kids who haven't considered farming or even been exposed to it, using a combination of media and in-person engagement.
