The Collective School Garden Network

The Collective School Garden Network

The Collective School Garden Network is part of the Western Growers Foundation and seeks to provide access to any school in Arizona and California that wants to have an on-campus garden. The network operates under the principle of "If they grow it, they'll eat it," which highlights the likelihood of children to be more open to eating foods they were involved in growing.

While the program is only in AZ and CA at the moment, it provides an excellent model for other collaborative efforts to be created, either as county or state collectives. For those schools located in these two states, the network provides grants and also a platform for schools and interested parties to connect.
