Living Wage Calculator

Living Wage Calculator

Cost of living varies by location. Created by researchers at MIT, the living wage calculator compares the living wage in counties across the United States, and compares them to the poverty wage and the regional minimum wage. The site also shows the average local wage for different industries, and wether or not these wages meet the living wage threshold. The calculator shows starkly that the minimum wage in many places fails to provide families with a living wage.

Use the calculator to determine the living wage in your county. Does your local minimum wage provide a living wage?
