Are There Plenty of Fish in the Sea?

Are There Plenty of Fish in the Sea?

With the increased demand for cheap seafood, companies around the world are fishing at an alarming rate. Fish species in the ocean are having difficulty reproducing fast enough to recover their stocks. Scientists warn that if the pace of this overfishing does not slow, all fish species will be gone by the year 2048.
However, many scientists believe that with more sustainable harvesting methods, responsible aquaculture and enhanced law enforcement, fish populations can be restored. The need to adopt more sustainable practices is urgent.
