Ten Year Olive Harvest: The Zaytoun Story

As Palestinians attempt to survive as a marginalized community, “their connection to their land remains a source of pride and sustenance to them.” In this article, Cathi Pawson shares her story of connecting Palestinian farmers with the outside market. Through exposure, their unique olive oil has earned them a reputation for being mindful stewards of their land.

In return, many Palestinian farmers gained momentum and support to distribute their quality produce to an international market through Fair Trade support systems and direct trade relationships.
