Barry Estabrook (author of "Tomatoland") wrote The Price of Tomatoes following the trail of a winter tomato. Estabrook explores the reality of modern-day slavery trends in South Florida, where as much as 90 percent of the fresh domestic tomatoes we eat during the months of December and May. Estabrook’s article also highlights the work of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) Campaign for Fair Food.
