UC Santa Cruz hosts "Grow A Farmer" Program

To become a sustainable, organic farmer, one not only needs to know how to effectively grow food, but also the necessity of participating in the local economy as a marketer, educator, and savvy promoter. The Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems at UC Santa Cruz hosts “Grow A Farmer” Farm and Garden Apprenticeship webpage. Through the site, budding organic farmers have access to  resources, event information, and job and land listings. Some of the resources are regional but most of the educational materials are transferable to any location.
