Why, you night ask yourself? Or not. Sometimes we choose a path and take a journey due to the why behind our decision. It’s a confluence of events that has created more demand for plant-forward diets and eating choices. It’s important to realize that it’s OK to move in the direction in which you want to go in whatever way works for you and your why. Some people like to go “cold turkey” into plant based eating while others just want to dip their toes in the water and choose one meal or one day a week to boost their consumption of plants and avoid animal products. When the overriding reason for choosing plants is for environmental concerns it might be easier to not only make different plant food choices but also decide that buying locally grown, in season and sustainable food matters, too. Embrace what you want with the why in mind. Sometimes the reasons why meld or merge and it becomes one big why and one big yes.
