Where do Less than 1% of Residents Have a Healthy Diet?

An interesting study conducted by the University of Waterloo in Canada of 1,334 retail food establishments and nearly 1,200 individuals from close to 700 homes to understand how environments affect "eating, travel behaviors and health."

The findings are both illuminating and shocking, as the report discovered that within the particular food swamp area, only 0.3 per cent of those whose diets were studied for two days had a diet considered healthy by the Healthy Eating Index.
