Pathways 2 Resilience

Permaculture + Prisons

Experiential learning and horticultural literacy isn't just for kids. A collaborative effort of several San Francisco Bay Area groups is forging an innovative approach to drastically reducing recidivism rates of prisoners. Pathways 2 Resiliences provides prisoners and recently released inmates with hands-on experiential learning experiences in and out of prison through permaculture design training. The support and guidance of the program helps reconnect formerly incarcerated inmates with the Bay Area community, easing the burden of reentry while equipping them with meaningful job skills.
