Seeds of Sovereignty

As a follow up to the 2012 film, "Seeds of Freedom," "Seeds of Sovereignty" explores the deep cultural and spiritual relationship between farmer and seed. Through the intimate stories of African farming families, this film documents the devastating effects of the corporate profit-driven model of agriculture and how farmers are fighting to regain control of their food system by reviving traditional seed diversity and farming methods.

This story of hope and action is co-produced by The Gaia Foundation and the African Biodiversity Network in collaboration with GRAIN and MELCA Ethiopia.
