The three Ingredient Recipe for Healthy Kids

With a mission to “connect kids to real foods and help them group with health,” FoodCorps is a nationwide initiative.  Team leaders work with students in areas with limited resources; together, schoolyard gardens are built, hands-on lessons about food and nutrition are demonstrated, and local, healthy food is served on school lunch trays. This is what FoodCorps considers the “three ingredient recipe for healthy kids.” With this mission and recipe for success, FoodCorps envisions a nation where children know what healthy food is and where it comes from, and have access to it every day.
