Whose Food Sovereignty? Indigenous Food Systems, Land, and Governance - Resetting the Table 2018
Food Sovereignty has become a popular concept for thinking about food system transformation, but whose sovereignty are we talking about? Indigenous food sovereignty is intimately tied to place, and broader issues of Indigenous self-governance on the land. In this discussion based plenary, held at Food Secure Canada's 10th Assembly (November 3rd), five Indigenous thinkers and food activists will opened the door on these fundamental food system issues from perspectives that connect with health, nationhood, the land and colonialism.
