Definition of Ethically Sourced

Ethically sourced goods are produced and purchased in a manner that demonstrates respect for the people who produce them as well as for the environment. Goods should be purchased through transparent relationships that are built on trust and openness,and producers should be compensated at a level that reflects the value of their hard work and that provides a living income for themselves and their families.

Check out The Domestic Fair Trade Association, of which we are a member, has evaluated 7 eco-social/fair trade certifications. The DFTA also has established 16 principles of domestic fair trade that also speak to ethical sourcing.
